Unit One Structure

I wasn't sure whether to e-mail this out or not, but thought the blog was the best place for it to go..
Here is what Artemis Script Team came up with today for Unit One structure:

UNIT ONE

- The audience are met outside in no-mans land. A follower of Artemis welcomes them to join prayer.
- Prayer Ritual.*
- Guru Speech, introdicing themselves (he/she) welcoming the new potential followers to the group, speaking about their beliefs.
-  Ritual prayer, dance, meditation, song and stories of the followers of the cult of Artemis then all take place at the same time, so the audience may only see or hear snippets of stories or dances. Intimate experience.
- The new 'members' (infiltraters) and the audience are then initiated, repeating the initiation prayer almost without realising what they are doing. This will involve speech of the initiation prayer, with music and dance and song- an event in itself. **


* Welcoming Prayer:

Gather, Children of the Earth.

Let the natural energy circulate freely through us all.

Allow our bodies and our planet to breathe deeply the respect of which we lend to them.

Let us look upon life kindly and appreciate this gift which we hold so dear.

Let selflessness cast no shadow upon our thought and action.

Let us become one.

Let no corruption taint our body nor our soul.

Let us guide those that take pleasure in sin, for we are their saviour.

Together we are cleansed.

** Initiation Chant:

As the deer loses his antlers,

Thus we leave our selfish world.

We enrich our souls.

We enrich our souls.

Brother, sister, hold my hand,

Unite as one, with earth, nature, the sun and the stars.

Let the universe guide us.

Enlighten our path.

Save us from self destruction.

We give ourselves to eachother.

Unite me.

Bind me.

Together we are cleansed.
